Design Liaison Engineer

Tasks
- Act as the primary engineering contact between design, manufacturing, quality, supplier’s teams.
- Review and resolve production and assembly design issues.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, models, and design intent for cross-functional teams.
- Support disposition of non-conformances, deviations, waivers, and concession requests.
- Investigate root causes of technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to evaluate proposed changes and their impact on cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
- Provide timely engineering support to manufacturing and operations to minimize disruptions.
- Participate in design reviews, production readiness reviews, and problem-solving meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
- Document technical decisions, issue resolutions, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to producibility, reliability, maintainability, and quality.
- Collaborate with suppliers to clarify design requirements and resolve technical concerns.

Expectations
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, product support, or liaison engineering.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle processes, configuration control, and engineering change management.
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
