Tasks

  • Support monthly inventory closing activities and reporting for multiple sites to ensure compliance with US GAAP and statutory requirements, post Manual Journal Entries when necessary
  • Analyze factory inventory results, trends in inventory turns, and risks related to slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Perform the booking, planning and tracking of obsolescence provisions, FIFO revaluations, Purchase Price Variance; summarize and communicate results to site and finance leaders
  • Participate in annual standard cost update process by validating proposed changes in standard cost and perform the update in the ERPs
  • Maintain and improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and internal controls over inventory and standard costing
  • Collaborate with factory finance teams and controllership to ensure robust processes around physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation of results, act as main point of contact for external auditor
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives in data analytics and reporting
  • Work with global and site-level partners to apply standard operating procedures and reporting templates consistently across locations
  • Support the coordination of global inventory and costing calendars

Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant finance experience, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and inventory-related processes (US GAAP preferred)
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar)
  • Familiarity with digital analytics or automation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, RPA)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deliverables independently
  • Fluent English and Hungarian communication skills, both written and verbal
