Our partner is building the next generation of intelligent healthcare solutions, grounded in what matters most: the human aspect of care. As a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Leader based in Budapest, you will be leading a small, high-impact team developing the integration layer and developer tooling that enables AI-powered capabilities.

This role combines hands-on software development with ownership of technical direction, architecture, and delivery. You will lead complex software work packages end-to-end—driving design, task breakdown, implementation, and verification—while coordinating across teams.

As a senior engineer in this role, you will mentor engineers, guide technical decisions, and represent progress to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity. At the same time, you will remain deeply involved in coding and problem-solving, translating advanced imaging technology into solutions that make a real difference for clinicians and patients worldwide.

Lead development, implementation, documentation and verification of complex software modules

Realize innovative ideas together with local engineers and scientists based on project-oriented cooperation

Champion strong engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, coding standards, documentation).

Provide technical leadership across shared projects (scanner apps, Windows tools, streaming clients, C++ core, Python clients, web/app integrations).

Own and guide architecture for Windows applications (C++/C#, COM/AppAPI, WPF/WinForms, LIB/DLLs, C-style APIs).

Act as a technical lead for a team of software engineers working in collaboration on common projects.

Report on technical progress, risks, and delivery status to stakeholders and management.

Act as a technical interface between local and international teams, translate requirements, risks, constraints, tasks, and progress.

Ensure compliance with regulated healthcare software development requirements.

Own technical quality, maintainability, and delivery of assigned software areas. Act as an agile leader, break down epics into executable tasks, lead sprint planning, execution, retrospectives and validation strategy

Elvárások

BSc/MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in C++ and C# (ideally both)
Hands-on Windows desktop development (Visual Studio, MSBuild, WPF; WinForms).
Experience with CI/CD, version control, pull request–based workflows, automated testing, documentation, and task tracking.
Experience building and integrating static (LIB) and dynamic (DLL) libraries and developing C-style APIs between Windows applications
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and C++/C# best practices
Experience in Agile development (sprints, planning, retrospectives, scoping, verification)
Ability to mentor engineers, represent technical work to stakeholders, and take accountability for team-level delivery
Fluent English (spoken and written)
