The Design Liaison Engineer (DLE) plays a key role in the Gas Turbine Engineering team providing technical support to Manufacturing and Sourcing functions.

Tasks

  • Provide Engineering dispositions on non-conformities
  • Qualify special processes and second source suppliers, facilitate NPI qualifications
  • Lead pre-emptive efforts to improve quality and reduce deviations (analyze recurrent defects to reduce the volume)
  • Ensure Engineering presence in the shop
  • Work with production to establish and maintain statistical process control. Lead effort to populate process capability database that will be fed back to design for use in NPI process
  • Support lean activities, cost reduction (Scrap & Rework)

Expectations

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in fabrication/Quality/Engineering department
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian
  • Manufacturing processes knowledge (Milling, turning, EDM, welding, …)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and global environment, to influence and to coordinate the different functions involved
  • Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing methods
