In this role, you will oversee the management of fixed assets at our manufacturing site, ensuring accurate asset tracking, capex budgeting, compliance with financial policies and strategic asset utilization. This role is crucial for optimizing asset performance, minimizing risks and supporting decision-making for capital investments and their initialization.
Tasks
- Supports fixed asset-related activities and rhythms, including planning, pacing, monthly operating reviews, closing, and audits
- Ensure accurate and timely tracking of all fixed assets on-site, including acquisitions, maintenance and disposal. Oversee regular physical asset verifications and audits to ensure alignment with records.
- Drives transactional activities such as: approving workflows, asset requisitions, project initiation in the relevant ERP.
- Communicates with operational owners for correct understanding of actuals and budget spends.
- Ensure compliance with asset management policies, financial regulations and applicable accounting standards. Generate periodic reports on asset valuation, depreciation and utilization for financial reporting.
- Ensure proper communication flow and data quality between local ERP and GEARS system (Fixed asset tracking tool)
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset management efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness. Use analytics to detect trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Engineering and maintenance teams to ensure a cohesive approach to asset management. Support training initiatives to elevate asset management practices across teams.
Expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or a related field from a university or college preferred.
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Hungarian
- Prior Fixed asset management and/or Supply Chain Finance experience
- Awareness of accounting policies and practices, including standard costing.
- System ERP Expertise: Oracle/SAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
